History

St. Joseph’s School was established in 1996 at the request of the people of Kendrapara.
It is a minority educational institution established by the Archdiocese of Cuttack – Bhubaneswar and administered by the Loyola Educational Society, Bhubaneswar registered as the Loyola Educational Society (LES), as per provisions of, the Constitution of India article 30 clause (i).

St. Joseph’s School, Kendrapara is a school recognised by the Govt. of Orissa and is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School” Certificate Examinations (ICSE), New Delhi. It is a privately run co-educational minority school. The medium of instruction is English. However, Oriya and Hindi have a vital role in the curriculum. From nursery onwards, boys and girls are prepared for the class X examinations conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi.

This school caters primarily to the needs of the local communities. The type of education imparted in school takes into account the whole person, paying heed to each child’s background and personality, with the love and patience exemplified in the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. Thus, young people will be gradually led to self-formation and to the development of a sense of responsibility for oneself and concern for others.
